How to Clean and Maintain Your Vape Kit for Longer Use
Looking after your vape kit doesn’t just improve performance, it also saves you money in the long run.
Regular maintenance helps prevent leaks, burnt coils, and battery issues.
Whether you’re using a refillable pod system or a sub-ohm device, keeping your kit clean is simple and worthwhile.
Why Cleaning Matters
Over time, e-liquid residue can build up around the pod or tank, leading to sticky connections, muted flavour, or reduced vapour production.
Dust and pocket lint can also block airflow or affect charging ports.
A quick clean now and then keeps everything working as it should.
Step-by-Step Vape Maintenance
- Turn off your device before doing anything. Safety first.
- Disassemble the kit (pod, coil, tank, drip tip) and wipe each part with a paper towel or soft cloth.
- Rinse refillable pods or tanks with warm water (no soap). Let them air dry fully before reassembling.
- Use a cotton bud to gently clean inside the mouthpiece and around connectors.
- Keep the battery area dry, never rinse it. Just wipe with a clean, dry cloth.
How Often Should You Clean Your Vape?
- Wipe down daily if you’re a regular user
- Deep clean your tank or pod every 5–7 days
- Check and replace coils weekly or when flavour drops
